Qatar University offers this scholarship to academically distinguished GCC nationals whose high school certificate was earned outside Qatar. The award supports undergraduate study on the university’s Doha campus.

Applicants first obtain final admission to Qatar University, then seek nomination through their country’s embassy in Qatar. The Fall 2026 admission window has closed, and the next cycle has not been announced.

Eligibility

  • Be a national of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates.
  • Hold a high school certificate or equivalent earned in a GCC country or another country, but not in Qatar.
  • Seek admission to a bachelor’s program and meet the chosen college’s admission requirements.
  • Obtain final admission before requesting nomination from the applicant’s national embassy in Qatar.
  • Submit an embassy letter addressed to Qatar University for this specific scholarship.
  • Not receive this scholarship together with another scholarship or sponsorship.
  • To retain the award, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, complete at least 12 credit hours each regular semester, remain continuously registered in Fall and Spring, and stay within the degree’s normal duration.

Application process

    Complete the Qatar University undergraduate admission application during the announced period and pay the non-refundable QR 200 admission application fee.

    Submit the required identity, high school, health, and any program-specific documents by the admission deadline; complete the in-person submission required for this scholarship.

    After receiving final admission, request scholarship nomination from the applicant’s national embassy in Qatar.

    Ask the embassy to send its nomination letter directly to Qatar University.
