Gacelas Perú is a free business-strengthening program implemented by Young Water Solutions and Cewas, with support and funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. It serves organizations developing water, sanitation and hygiene solutions in Peru.
The current edition combines virtual training, a three-day in-person bootcamp in Lima, and hybrid mentoring through December 2026. It concludes with participation in the Aquapreneurs Summit in May 2027, and applications for this edition are closed.
Benefits & funding
- The program is free to participating organizations.
- Participants receive tailored technical support and training in marketing, sales, sustainability and impact.
- The program includes practical tools, peer learning, business-transformation planning and visibility in the Peruvian and Latin American WASH ecosystem.
- Selected organizations may gain access to a catalytic fund for commercial activities; the official site does not publish an amount or guarantee an award.
- The current edition includes virtual sessions, an in-person commercial-strengthening camp in Lima and hybrid mentoring.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be an organization working on a water, sanitation or hygiene solution in Peru that has progressed beyond the idea stage and has an active team.
- A CEO or another director must be the main contact, and at least two people from the organization must participate actively throughout the program.
- At least one participating team member must be under 35, hold decision-making authority and be able to take part in strategic decisions.
- Unregistered organizations, community structures and teams transitioning from pre-incubation may participate if they show commitment, potential and openness to strengthening.
- Organizations with two to five years of operation and validated solutions are preferred, but these are not hard eligibility gates.
- The official criteria state no individual nationality, residency, education, work-experience or gender requirement.
