Future Leaders of Africa — Master's Scholarship

Future Leaders of Africa is an annual HEC Paris scholarship for 10 students entering the HEC Paris MBA. It supports candidates committed to the economic, social, and environmental transformation of Africa.

Recipients undertake the 16-month MBA in Jouy-en-Josas, France. The award offsets part of the tuition fee and is decided alongside the MBA admissions process.

Benefits & funding

Up to €15,000 toward MBA tuition.
10 scholarships are awarded each year.
The award is deducted from the final tuition installment.

Eligibility

Citizenship of South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, or Uganda is required.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree obtained outside France.
Admission to the HEC Paris MBA is required for scholarship consideration.
HEC Paris strongly encourages at least two years of professional experience for MBA applicants, but this is not an absolute requirement.

Application process

Choose an MBA application round and submit the online MBA application before its published deadline.

Include the required MBA materials, including essays, two recommendations, a résumé, transcripts, test scores, and the €200 application fee.

Email a separate 350-word scholarship essay to scholarships@hec.fr describing the current challenges facing Africa and proposing solutions.

If pre-selected, complete two English-language interviews with HEC Paris MBA alumni; scholarship decisions are emailed within one week after admission results.
