The Full Frame Fellows Program places students inside the four-day Full Frame Documentary Film Festival in Durham, North Carolina. Fellows follow a screening itinerary, attend panels and private filmmaker conversations, and meet the documentary community.
The Duke route is for enrolled Duke undergraduates and had a 2026 deadline of March 6. Students at other colleges participate only through a school that joins the program and selects its own fellows; Full Frame does not accept their individual applications directly. The next festival is confirmed for April 1–4, 2027, but Duke has not published a 2027 student application date.
Benefits & funding
- Selected Duke students receive a Fellow Pass with tickets for the opening-night film and party, required itinerary screenings, and the Sunday awards barbecue.
- The pass includes two private Fellows Sessions with filmmakers and complimentary lunch, plus Last Minute Line access when no required event is scheduled.
- The Duke call lists no cash stipend; for the broader 2027 program, participating schools buy pass packages and handle accommodation, travel, and other expenses.
