This partnership award links the Fulbright U.S. Student Program in Ireland with Dublin City University (DCU). One grant is offered for 2027–28.
The grantee spends 10 months in Dublin from September 2027 on a taught master’s in one of five DCU units: Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering and Computing, the Business School, Science and Health, or the Institute of Education.
Benefits & funding
- Tuition waived by DCU for a taught master’s in an eligible faculty.
- Stipend of about €1,650–1,750 a month (estimated, subject to change).
- International travel, accident and sickness cover, and a 24/7 mental-health line.
- 12 months of U.S. federal non-competitive hiring eligibility.
- No support for dependents, who may not accompany the grantee.
Eligibility
- U.S. citizens or nationals at the deadline; permanent residents are not eligible. Dual Irish citizens may apply.
- A bachelor’s degree conferred before the grant starts; final-year students may apply.
- Not eligible if you hold a Ph.D. by the deadline, or lived abroad five or more of the six years before it.
- No residence in Ireland in the year before the grant.
- No Foreign Language Evaluation form is needed, but non-native English speakers must show English competence; Irish-taught programmes need fluent Irish, and the MA in Translation Studies needs CEFR C1 in the chosen language.
