The Fuat Keyman Scholarship is a doctoral award at Sabancı University in Istanbul, Türkiye. The university lists it among its graduate scholarships and states that the Graduate School of Social Sciences offers it within the “Fuat Keyman Chair”.
The chair was created in memory of Prof. Fuat Keyman, a political scientist who directed the Istanbul Policy Center and taught international relations at the university. - Open to candidates accepted into the Political Science PhD program at Sabancı University’s graduate school for social sciences.
- Doctoral applicants may apply holding either a bachelor’s or a master’s degree; the degree must be completed by registration.
- Applicants entering with a bachelor’s degree need a grade average of at least 3.00 out of 4.00, plus ALES 80, GRE Quantitative 160 or GAT subject test 80.
- Applicants entering with a master’s degree need ALES 70 in the equal-weight category, GRE Quantitative 155 or a GAT accumulative test score of 70. The graduate school sets those three floors higher for the Political Science PhD than for its other doctoral programs, which ask 55, 149 and 55.
- Language proficiency is accepted at TOEFL iBT 87, PTE 73, YDS / e-YDS / YÖKDİL 73, CAE grade B, CPE grade C or e-TEP 64. Teaching, exams and interviews are in English.
- A degree from an institution outside Türkiye must be recognised by the Turkish Higher Education Council.
- No nationality, residency, age, gender or work-experience requirement is published, and the university states that its graduate scholarships are open to international students.
