Fountainhead Residency is an annual, month-long live/work program in Miami for visual artists invited to apply through nomination. Fountainhead Arts runs the program to give artists dedicated time, workspace, and professional connections.
Residents live communally and work in private studios at the program’s new Miami facility while meeting curators, collectors, gallerists, local artists, and other arts professionals. The 2027 residents are scheduled across seven sessions and will be announced in October 2026.

- Roundtrip airfare.
- Communal living accommodation and private workspace, with basic household amenities supplied.
- A $2,500 honorarium.
- Studio visits, introductions across Miami’s arts community, museum and gallery visits, and access to legal, financial, and business guidance.
- Residents remain responsible for most meals and art materials.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be visual artists invited to apply through nomination.
- Artists living in South Florida are not eligible.
- Applicants must be proficient in English.
- The selection criteria emphasize artistic excellence, sustained public practice, potential career impact, engagement, self-direction, and respectful participation.
- No nationality, degree, age, gender, or numeric experience requirement is published.
