Official Page

FIPDes is a two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Food Innovation and Product Design coordinated by a consortium of AgroParisTech/Université Paris-Saclay, TU Dublin, UNINA and Lund University. The 120-ECTS curriculum combines food science, technology, innovation management, sustainability and product design.

Students study in at least two consortium countries, with partner locations in Palaiseau, Dublin, Naples and Lund, and earn double or triple national master degrees plus joint FIPDes credentials according to their track. Both application rounds for the 2026 intake are closed.

Benefits & funding

  • The program awards 120 ECTS over two academic years.
  • Graduates receive double or triple national master degrees according to their mobility track, plus a Joint FIPDes Diploma and Joint Diploma Supplement.
  • There are no Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the 2025–2027 and 2026–2028 intakes; the 2026 intake is therefore treated as self-funded, although the official site lists external funding possibilities.

Eligibility

  • Applicants may come from any country; the consortium recruits candidates worldwide and states no nationality restriction.
  • Applicants need a bachelor degree or equivalent of at least 180 ECTS, representing at least three years of study, in food science and technology, biotechnology, process engineering, biochemistry, nutrition or a related field with relevant scientific prerequisites.
  • English proficiency at CEFR B2 is required. Accepted evidence includes TOEFL ITP 575, internet-based TOEFL 90, IELTS Academic 6.5, specified Cambridge certificates, native-speaker status, qualifying English-medium higher education or more than one year in an English-speaking country; exceptional exemptions may apply to outstanding candidates.
  • Applicants can enter only the first year. International mobility in at least two consortium countries is compulsory, and those study periods must be outside the applicant’s country of residence.
  • No age, gender or work-experience threshold is stated.
