The FIAS Fellowship Programme is run by the network of French Institutes for Advanced Study (IAS). For the 2027/2028 call it offers 29 ten-month residential fellowships across seven institutes — Aix-Marseille, Cergy, Loire Valley (Orléans-Tours), Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes and Paris. Fellows pursue their own research project within a multidisciplinary cohort, with strong connections to local research centres. The programme is open to all disciplines in the Social Sciences and the Humanities (SSH) and to other research fields that interface with the SSH. Selection is merit-based, through international independent peer review.
