BI Norwegian Business School awards this entrance scholarship to exceptional candidates joining its Executive MBA and interested in creating a more sustainable future. The 2027 programme starts on 8 February and combines in-person teaching with online sessions.
Compulsory weeks are held in Oslo and Berkeley, while elective weeks may take place in Oslo, Shanghai, Madrid, Potsdam, or Stockholm. BI seeks a diverse international cohort and gives preference to candidates working in NGOs, but this is a preference rather than an eligibility gate.
Benefits & funding
- The award covers 25% of the Executive MBA tuition fee.
- BI deducts the award from the final tuition instalment if the recipient meets the academic progression requirements.
- The scholarship does not state that it covers travel or accommodation; those costs are excluded from the programme tuition fee.
- Recipients must be prepared to act as BI Ambassadors, with responsibilities defined in the Scholarship Contract. Withdrawal or incomplete study can affect the award.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be admitted to the BI Executive MBA and have a signed study contract by 15 November 2026.
- The standard admission route requires a completed bachelor’s degree equivalent to 180 ECTS, a minimum age of 25, and at least six years of relevant full-time work experience.
- Applicants must submit the required documentation and complete the admissions interview satisfactorily.
- BI may consider candidates without a completed bachelor’s degree when they have more than 90 ECTS and substantial relevant experience beyond six years. In exceptional Dean’s Choice cases, the minimum educational base is a higher-education entrance qualification, with a GMAT required.
- The published scholarship criteria set no nationality, residency, or gender restriction. Preference for candidates working in NGOs is not a mandatory condition.
