The Executive Master of Management in Energy Scholarship supports admitted professionals entering the joint BI Norwegian Business School and IFP School programme. The 18-month programme combines hybrid modules in Oslo and Paris with online study while participants continue working.
The curriculum examines energy markets, sustainability, technology, finance, policy, strategy and leadership. The 2027 cohort begins on 8 March 2027 and concludes with project presentations and graduation from 26–28 September 2028.
Benefits & funding
- A 25% reduction in the programme tuition fee.
- The award is deducted from the final tuition instalment if the recipient meets the academic progression requirements.
- Recipients must maintain the required academic progress and serve as BI–IFP ambassadors under the scholarship contract.
- Travel, flights and accommodation are not covered by the programme tuition fee.
Eligibility
- Be an Executive Master of Management in Energy candidate and sign the study contract by 15 November 2026.
- Standard admission requires a completed bachelor’s degree equivalent to 180 ECTS, a minimum age of 25 and at least four years of relevant full-time work experience. Applicants with a prior master’s degree need at least three years of full-time work experience.
- In exceptional cases, applicants without a completed bachelor’s degree may be assessed with more than 90 ECTS and substantial relevant experience beyond six years, alongside the other published criteria.
- Submit the required academic records, CV, financial plan, two work-related recommendations, identity documents where applicable and a 500–800-word motivational essay, then complete the online admission interview.
- The scholarship is open without a published nationality, residency or gender restriction. BI and IFP School seek an international cohort and give preference to candidates working in NGOs; this is a preference, not an eligibility bar.

Application process
- 1Complete the online application for admission to the Executive Master of Management in Energy and upload all required documentation.
- 2Prepare a scholarship application letter of no more than one A4 page explaining why the applicant merits the award and how their background supports consideration.
- 3Upload the scholarship letter with the complete admission application in the scholarship section of BI’s online portal by 1 December 2026.
- 4If invited, complete the approximately 45-minute online admission interview and sign the study contract by 15 November 2026 to remain eligible for the scholarship.
- 5Selected applicants receive scholarship offers about six weeks before the programme begins; scholarship decisions are final.
