IESE Business School offers the Exceptional Leadership Scholarship to candidates admitted to its Program for Management Development (PMD) in Barcelona. The award recognizes emerging and established leaders who show vision, initiative and the ability to create meaningful impact within their organizations and communities.
PMD is a five-month hybrid program taught in English: three residential modules on the Barcelona campus plus two online intermodules. It is built for experienced senior managers, functional directors, recently appointed general managers and entrepreneurs.
The scholarship is open to PMD candidates across all industries and functions. IESE aims its General Management scholarships at executives and entrepreneurs who face financial restrictions and have shown potential to make a positive impact on the global business community.
Benefits & funding
- Covers up to 20% of PMD tuition.
- PMD tuition is €31,500, covering tuition, course materials and most meals during the residential modules, so this award is partial tuition support.
- IESE lists separate price reductions on its PMD fees page: 10% for alumni and for candidates who apply at least one year ahead, and 5% for paying the full fee within 15 days of admission.

- Open to PMD candidates across all industries and functions.
- Applicants must already be admitted to one of IESE’s General Management Programs.
- Candidates who are fully or partially sponsored by their companies are not eligible.
- A scholarship application is tied to one specific program; admission can be deferred, the scholarship cannot.
- PMD is designed for experienced senior managers, functional directors, recently appointed general managers and entrepreneurs with several years of managerial experience.
- IESE publishes no nationality, residency, age, gender or academic-degree requirement for this award.
