European Fund for Youth Action on Pollinators

Benefits & funding

• Up to €15,000 for an individual applicant.
• Up to €70,000 for a youth-led organisation, or an NGO with a youth chapter active in pollinator conservation.
• Around 25 individual grants and 5 organisational grants across the fund.
• Projects run up to 15 months and are carried out in EU countries.
• Grantees are connected in a peer network to trade experience and build skills while their projects run.
• The fund is co-funded by the European Union and runs until 2027.

Eligibility

• Individual applicants: EU citizens aged 18 to 35, based in the country where the project will be carried out.
• Organisational applicants: youth-led civil society organisations, or NGOs with a youth chapter active in pollinator conservation in the EU.
• The €70,000 call tests the organisation, and sets no separate nationality rule for the person who submits it.
• The project must be carried out inside EU countries. EU overseas countries, territories and outermost regions are excluded.
• No degree, field of study or work experience is required.
• Fundable work: restoring pollinator habitat, raising public awareness, closing knowledge gaps on threats to pollinators, and building conservation solutions.
• Individual projects can be small: school visits, pollinator hotels, wildflower planting with a local council, citizen science, art or social media campaigns, and community events.

   Choose your call: individual, up to €15,000, or organisation, up to €70,000.

   Watch the recorded information session for that call, held 8 July 2025 for individuals and 9 July 2025 for organisations.

   Create an account on the IUCN Grants Portal at speciesgrants.iucn.org.

   Fill in the application form for the call: activities, budget, and a timeline that fits inside 15 months.

   Submit before the call closes. The 2025 round closed on 9 September 2025; the fund page carries results and any future opportunity.
