ETHGlobal Tokyo 2026 — Course / Training

ETHGlobal Tokyo 2026 is a three-day, in-person web3 hackathon run by ETHGlobal in Tokyo, Japan. Accepted participants build and submit a project, either alone or in a team of up to five people.

The event provides technical mentorship, project feedback, finalist judging, and partner-prize judging. The official calendar shows that ETHGlobal also held a Tokyo hackathon in 2023, making the city event an irregularly recurring program.

Benefits & funding

Participation funding classification: Free; ETHGlobal requires a refundable ETH stake instead of describing a nonrefundable entry fee.
The stake is returned after a participant submits a project, usually about three weeks after the event.

Application process

Open the official application page and log in to the ETHGlobal account.

Submit an individual hacker application and wait for an acceptance decision.

After acceptance, connect a web3 wallet and stake the required small amount of ETH to confirm attendance.

Join the event Discord, then form a team of up to five accepted participants or plan to build solo.

Check in at the Tokyo venue, build during the hackathon, and submit the project through the Hacker Dashboard by the deadline.
