Erasmus Trustfonds and TSH Changemaker Scholarship — Master's Scholarship

The Erasmus Trustfonds and TSH Changemaker Scholarship supports underrepresented students entering a master’s programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Erasmus Trustfonds supplies tuition and living support, while TSH Talent Foundation adds housing and a development programme.

Recipients study in Rotterdam and join workshops, mentoring and a changemaker community. The 2026–2027 cycle is closed, and the university says information for 2027–2028 will appear in autumn 2026.

Benefits & funding

€9,895 for living costs and the statutory tuition fee, including a €600 monthly living allowance.
One year of accommodation in a Social Hub residence; a partial institutional-tuition waiver may also apply to eligible non-EU/EEA recipients.
Ten Aspire workshops, one-to-one mentorship, community events, wellbeing activities and continued access to the Changemaker alumni network.

Eligibility

Be admitted to an eligible master’s programme at a participating Erasmus University Rotterdam faculty and hold the prior bachelor-level preparation needed for master’s admission.
Belong to one or more disadvantaged or underrepresented groups described by the programme, such as limited financial, educational, social or health resources, newcomer status, marginalisation, disability, first-generation status or personal-safety barriers.
Demonstrate community involvement, social contribution and commitment to the Changemaker alumni network.
Faculty rules differ: ESHPM and Erasmus MC routes require EEA/EU nationality, while the central page directs applicants to each school for its own nationality and programme rules.
Additional faculty gates apply; for example, ESSB and Erasmus MC require results equivalent to at least 8.0 on the Dutch ten-point scale, and ESHPM limits the route to Health Care Management or Health Economics, Policy & Law.

Application process

Apply to an eligible master’s programme through one of the participating faculties and meet that faculty’s admission conditions.

Prepare the faculty-specific documents, which may include a motivation letter or statement, CV, budget plan, transcript and proof of programme application.

Use the faculty’s stated channel: email for Erasmus School of Law, the EUR Admissions Portal for ESSB, the faculty form for ESHPM, or OSIRIS Cases for Erasmus MC; RSM and ESPhil applicants must follow their school pages.

Submit by the deadline for the chosen faculty route and monitor the faculty’s decision notice.
