Emerging Markets Scholarship — Course / Training

The Global CEO Program is run jointly by IESE Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management for senior corporate decision-makers. Each academic year the two schools set aside three scholarships for participants whose finances constrain the fee and whose record shows potential to move the global business community forward.

The Emerging Markets Scholarship is the award reserved for candidates coming from emerging economies. It works as a reduction of the program fee, not as a stipend, and it does not cover travel.

Participants stay in their jobs and meet for three one-week residential modules over seven months: at MIT Sloan in Cambridge, in Singapore, and at IESE in Barcelona.

Benefits & funding

Covers up to 15% of the tuition fee.
Tuition for the 2026–27 edition is $56,000.
The fee includes tuition, reading and classroom materials, hotel accommodation, social activities and most meals.
Travel to Cambridge, Singapore and Barcelona is not included.
Three awards exist per academic year in total, shared across the Women in Business, Entrepreneurship and Emerging Markets scholarships.
Graduates receive a co-branded IESE and MIT Sloan completion certificate and become IESE alumni; MIT Sloan counts the program as 8 Executive Education Units.

Eligibility

Open to candidates admitted to the IESE and MIT Sloan Global CEO Program who come from emerging economies; IESE publishes no list of qualifying countries.
The awards target senior executives and entrepreneurs who face financial constraints and can evidence impact on the global business community.
The program is designed for major corporate decision-makers such as chief executives, presidents, owners, board members and chief operating officers, typically with more than 20 years of general management experience; IESE states this as the participant profile, not as a fixed cut-off.
No degree, age, gender, nationality or residency requirement is published.
Applications for the 2026–27 edition closed on September 1, 2026; the award repeats each academic year.

Submit the online application for the Global CEO Program.

The Admissions Committee reviews the file and returns a decision within one month.

Apply for one of the three scholarships through the IESE scholarship application form for the Global CEO Program; the form for the 2026–27 edition is closed.

Pay the $10,000 deposit on admission to hold the seat, with the balance due 45 days before the first module.
