The Edinburgh Surgery Online Global Scholarships are awarded by the University of Edinburgh to widen access to its online MSc Surgical Sciences for surgeons-in-training from lower-resource settings. The programme, delivered with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, is a three-year, part-time, fully online master’s that lets practising clinicians study while they continue working.
A limited number of scholarships are offered each year, each covering full tuition fees plus a contribution toward internet-access costs. The scheme is aimed at nationals and residents of low-income and lower-middle-income countries, as classified by the World Bank.
