Official Page

Villgro is an Indian incubator for social enterprises, working across climate-smart agriculture, healthcare, climate action, and inclusive livelihoods and entrepreneurship. This pilot sits in its climate action portfolio.

The pilot tests whether e-bikes can carry e-commerce deliveries in rural India. Villgro states four aims for it: rural economic growth, lower greenhouse gas emissions, wider clean energy use, and gender-inclusive jobs.

It is a call for partner organisations, not for individuals. Villgro wants fleet operators, rural delivery firms, charging providers and EV financiers who can run field pilots, and says it will build scalable models from the pilot and share the findings with policymakers and other stakeholders. The programs listing dates the pilot 2024 to present, and the program page marks applications closed.
