The DGIST Scholarship is one of the scholarship types tied to admission to the graduate school of Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST) in South Korea, funded by DGIST funds, donations or research grants.
It supports Master’s, integrated Master’s–PhD and PhD study in DGIST’s interdisciplinary programs, taught in English. Admitted students are reviewed for it automatically; there is no separate scholarship application. The next window is the 2027 Spring 3rd round.
Benefits & funding
- Tuition is charged, but an extra stipend equal to tuition is paid.
- Master’s: at least KRW 15 million a year; PhD: at least KRW 22 million a year, plus incentives tied to research performance.
- International students can live on campus (monthly rent from KRW 170,000; rates may change).
Eligibility
- Master’s or integrated Master’s–PhD: a bachelor’s degree, held or expected before enrolment.
- PhD: a master’s degree, held or expected before enrolment.
- Offered in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Science & Engineering, Quantum Information Science and Technology and Innovation Management; confirm your eligibility with the department or prospective supervisor.
- Applicants in a job can take it only if they leave that job before admission.
- AIMS track: an official English score from within four years of the deadline, at the published minimum.
- No nationality, age or gender bar is stated; Korean is not required.
