DGIST Scholarship — Master's Scholarship

The DGIST Scholarship is funded by DGIST funds, external donations, or research grants for eligible graduate students at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology. Admission to the DGIST graduate school automatically registers admitted students for scholarship consideration, with no separate scholarship application.

Applicants apply to one graduate department or program and, for this scholarship route, must confirm eligibility with the relevant department or prospective academic supervisor. Study takes place at DGIST in Daegu, South Korea, and the current open route is the second 2027 spring admission round.

Benefits & funding

DGIST Scholarship students must pay the stated tuition, but receive an additional stipend equal to the tuition fee.
Master’s students receive at least KRW 15 million annually, plus incentives that vary with research performance.
PhD students receive at least KRW 22 million annually, plus incentives that vary with research performance.
On-campus housing is available to international students at published monthly rates of KRW 220,000 for a single room, KRW 170,000 for a double room, or KRW 290,000 for a married-student apartment; rates may change by academic year.

The scholarship page lists Interdisciplinary Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Science and Engineering, Quantum Information Science, and the Department of Technology and Innovation Management.
Master’s applicants must provide an undergraduate graduation or expected-graduation certificate and undergraduate transcripts.
PhD applicants must provide undergraduate and graduate graduation or expected-graduation certificates and transcripts.
Applicants to the Technology and Innovation Management AIMS track must submit an official English test report obtained within four years of the deadline and meet the track’s published minimum score.
