Recipients continue their studies at UWest, based in Rosemead, California, with a tuition waiver for the fall and spring semesters. The latest published deadline was April 1, 2026; UWest has not announced the next opening date.

Eligibility

- Undergraduates must register for and successfully complete at least 12 units each semester, while graduate students must complete at least 9; final-semester students may appeal for an exception.
- The minimum GPA is 3.2 for undergraduates and 3.5 for graduate students, although individual exceptions may be considered for distinguished strength in other evaluation criteria.
- Applicants must demonstrate leadership, service, integrity, and academic achievement.
- UWest states no nationality restriction for this merit scholarship and notes that international students may receive merit scholarships; applicants must already be continuing UWest students.
