This annual AECID program supports young Spanish graduates who have already been admitted to a College of Europe master’s programme. For 2026–2027, it offers up to 12 scholarships across six programmes at Bruges, Natolin and Tirana.

Recipients pursue postgraduate study in European economics, law, politics and governance, international relations and diplomacy, interdisciplinary European studies, or European transformation and integration. The latest AECID application window closed on 3 June 2026.

Benefits & funding

  • Each scholarship has an individual value of €23,500.
  • Up to 12 scholarships are available: two for each of the six named master’s programmes.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Spanish citizens.
  • Applicants must hold a Licenciado or Grado qualification and already be admitted to the relevant College of Europe master’s programme.
  • Applicants must be no older than 27 on 31 December 2026.

Application process

    Submit the College of Europe online application with the required documents, a motivation statement of at least 300 words and two academic referees.
  2. 2
    If preselected, attend an individual interview with the national selection committee and the College of Europe.
  3. 3
    After securing admission, register in AECID’s citizen folder and complete the scholarship application in Spanish using the applicant’s own recognised individual digital certificate.

    Submit only one AECID scholarship application.
