The City Year Scholarship is a competitive tuition award from the NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. It supports City Year alumni admitted to full-time or part-time master’s study at Wagner.

The award connects prior service experience with graduate preparation for public-service work. Applicants seek the scholarship through the ordinary Wagner admissions process rather than a separate scholarship form.

  • NYU Wagner lists half-tuition funding for up to two City Year alumni.
  • City Year members and alumni may request an application fee waiver by declaring the affiliation in the Wagner application.
  • Scholarship decisions are generally sent within 24–48 hours after the admission decision.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be City Year alumni.
  • Applicants must seek admission to eligible full-time or part-time master’s study at NYU Wagner.
  • Entering master’s students must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited US institution or an equivalent foreign degree.
