Eligibility
- Applicants must work for a National Meteorological and Hydrological Service or a relevant national institution, secure admission to an eligible program, and be nominated by their country’s Permanent Representative with WMO.
- The WMO compendium targets least-developed and developing countries; the NUIST route requires citizenship outside China.
- Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be younger than 35 on 1 September of the study-start year.
- PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree and be younger than 40 on 1 September of the study-start year.
- Applicants must provide the language certificate required by their route: HSK for Chinese-taught study or IELTS or TOEFL for English-taught study.
- NUIST additionally requires good physical and mental health, a CGPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, and compliance with its admission requirements.
