The CHCI Scholarship is an NYU Wagner benefit for alumni of Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute programs. It supports admitted students in four qualifying graduate programs: MPA in Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy, MPA in Health Policy & Management, Master of Urban Planning, and Executive MPA.
Applicants apply through NYU Wagner’s degree application. The partnership expands access to graduate public-service education and professional development for CHCI alumni.
Benefits & funding
- CHCI program alumni receive an application fee waiver.
- Admitted alumni receive consideration for a scholarship covering 50% of tuition.
- Enrolled recipients receive a $1,500 professional-development stipend for the tenure of the program, subject to satisfactory academic standing.
- The scholarship renews automatically while the recipient maintains satisfactory academic standing.
Eligibility
- Be an alumnus or alumna of a CHCI program.
- Gain admission to the MPA in Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy, MPA in Health Policy & Management, Master of Urban Planning, or Executive MPA.
- Meet the admissions requirements for the selected NYU Wagner degree.
