Halcyon runs this pre-accelerator with the Hazelwood Network for early-stage climate founders across the Caribbean. It lasts six months, from a virtual kickoff in June 2026 to a closing residency in Barbados that November.
Programming is hybrid. Ventures attend two in-person residency weeks, one in Kingston, Jamaica and one in Bridgetown, Barbados, plus a virtual kickoff and four virtual programming days. Halcyon states the program’s focus as internationalization, global connectivity and capital readiness.
Halcyon is an impact accelerator running cohorts in climate, health and EquityTech, and its climate work covers adaptation and resilience rather than mitigation. Applications for this 2026 edition closed on 24 April 2026, and no 2027 edition has been announced.

Eligibility
- For-profit startups, hybrid models and revenue-generating social enterprises. Nonprofits are not eligible.
- Early-stage ventures, pre-revenue or post-revenue, with a working prototype, proof of concept, pilot or early customer validation.
- The venture operates in the Caribbean or serves primarily Caribbean markets. Founders in the diaspora qualify when their venture has active operations in the region.
- Work in climate adaptation and resilience: resilient infrastructure and built environments, blue economy and coastal protection, agriculture and food security, water resilience, nature-based and ecosystem solutions, energy and grid resilience, disaster preparedness, adaptation finance and data, climate insurance and risk transfer, health resilience, and community resilience. Halcyon places mitigation-only ventures outside its climate scope unless mitigation is a secondary benefit of adaptation work.
- Impact contributing to one or more UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- The applicant is the venture’s CEO or primary decision-maker, at least 21 years old by the program start, and fluent in English. Up to one co-founder may take part.
- Founders are expected to show local knowledge, community-rooted solutions, long-term commitment to the Caribbean, and readiness to scale into international markets.
- Halcyon’s general criteria also ask founders to work full-time on the venture and to commit to every residency and session.
- No nationality, residency or degree requirement applies to individuals; the geographic test is on where the venture operates.
