The Canada-Asia Young Professionals Fellowship Program is a nine-month, non-resident program run by the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada for up to 20 graduate students and early-career professionals. Fellows examine contemporary Asia and Canada-Asia relations through virtual discussions, expert sessions, and communication workshops.

The cohort meets online once or twice a month for 60 minutes, with an average commitment of about three hours per week. The program concludes with a two-day, in-person retreat at APF Canada’s Vancouver office.

Benefits & funding

  • Peer networking and workshops focused on written and oral communication.
  • APF Canada covers travel costs for the two-day concluding retreat in Vancouver.
  • The official call does not state a stipend or other allowance.

Eligibility

  • Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

  • Holding a degree in political science, international relations, law, business, economics, Asian Studies, or a related field.
