Campus Reach is Southwest Airlines’ paid internship program for full-time college students, run as fixed-date spring and summer cohorts.
Spring internships are Technology-only and remote. Summer internships span departments such as Finance, Marketing, Technology and Technical Operations; most are in person at the Dallas corporate campus, while Technology roles are virtual.
Benefits & funding
- Paid, 40 hours a week; the rate depends on the position and is non-negotiable.
- A stipend of up to US$2,000 may be offered based on eligibility, paid once (after tax) with the first paycheck.
- Internet and housing stipends when applicable; relocation costs fall on the intern.
- Free, unlimited space-available travel on Southwest.
- An intern mentor, senior-leader sessions and the CliftonStrengths assessment.
Eligibility
- Enrolled full-time, as your university defines it, when you apply; graduate students may apply.
- Studying toward a degree, major or minor relevant to the internship; minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- For the 2027 cohorts, graduation in Fall 2027 or later; an undergraduate finishing before the internship starts qualifies only if already enrolled full-time in a graduate program.
- Must work Monday–Friday business hours and start and end on the fixed dates.
- Offsite work cannot regularly be done from: Alaska, California, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, Washington, Wyoming and Puerto Rico.
