The Hinrich Foundation funds research projects that deepen understanding of global trade and inform trade policy.
Individual researchers and research organisations propose a project, or a summary of work they have already done, which the Foundation may publish as white papers or articles. Proposals are taken in two rounds a year.
Benefits & funding
- Full or partial financial support; the amount is negotiated, not fixed.
- Payment is typically made when the project is completed.
- Outputs go through the Foundation’s editorial review; it decides whether to publish and keeps the right to publish.
- Projects are encouraged to finish within four months of commission, with progress updates along the way.
Eligibility
- Open to individual researchers and to research organisations.
- The research must address trade-related issues within the Foundation’s research areas.
- No nationality, residence, degree or age limit is stated.
