Bulgarian Brain Bee — Course / Training

Bulgarian Brain Bee is Bulgaria’s national level of the International Brain Bee, a neuroscience competition for high-school students. The 2026 round was organized by national coordinators Magdalena Nikolova and Yordan Rusev and hosted by Medical University of Varna.

Students completed written, anatomy and histology, and clinical-diagnosis tasks in English. The national winner qualifies to represent Bulgaria at the IBB World Championship.

The national winner earns the right to represent Bulgaria at the IBB World Championship.

Eligibility

Applicants must be high-school students residing in Bulgaria; the 2026 host described the competition as intended for students interested in medicine, biology, and brain science.
The competition is conducted in English.
A national champion advancing to the World Championship may not be older than 19.
Students may enter only one Local or National Brain Bee in a year and must compete in their country of residence.
