The Bucharest Summer University (BSU) is the official international summer school of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), organised by the ASE Students’ Union and Students’ Senate with faculty mentorship. Now in its 20th edition, the 2026 programme runs from 9 to 23 August in Bucharest, Romania, under the theme “Leaders of Tomorrow in International Business and Economics: Reshaping Global Economy”. Over two weeks, students from around the world join courses, seminars, workshops, and debates led by professors and international experts, combined with cultural trips and teambuilding. Applicants choose between a full scholarship and two paid participation tracks.

Benefits & funding

  • Three participation tracks: full scholarship (free), partial payment (€650), or total payment (€900).
  • Accommodation in the Moxa D student dormitory (double rooms) for the duration of the programme.
  • Three meals per day throughout the event.
  • Airport transfer on arrival and a weekend mountain trip (accommodation, meals, and transport included).
  • Academic courses plus extracurricular activities: city tour, teambuilding, and a Global Village cultural event.
  • Not covered: travel to and from Romania, flights, and visas. Small mandatory fees are collected on arrival for museum entries, laundry, and materials.

Eligibility

  • University students at Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD level.
  • Aged 18 to 26.
  • Open to applicants from around the world; visa requirements vary by nationality.
