Bilkent University, a private research university in Ankara, Türkiye, offers tuition-waiver scholarships to international undergraduate applicants. Awards range from a 20% to a full 100% reduction of tuition, granted on the basis of high-school grades, standardized-exam scores (SAT, A-Levels, IB or recognized science-olympiad medals) and program choice. A limited number of top full-waiver students also receive an accommodation scholarship, and enrolled students can later earn a merit scholarship. There is no separate scholarship form — every admission applicant is automatically considered.

Benefits & funding

  • Tuition-waiver scholarship at five levels: 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% or 100% of tuition.
  • Accommodation scholarship: dormitory support for a limited number of top students already on a full (100%) tuition waiver; requires maintaining a minimum 2.50/4.00 GPA.
  • Merit scholarship: for enrolled students with an annual GPA of 3.30 or above who rank in the top 5% of non-scholarship students in their program; 20%–100% of tuition by ranking.
  • Coverage runs up to 4 semesters in the English Preparatory Program and up to 10 semesters in a four-year undergraduate program, conditional on maintaining a minimum 2.00/4.00 annual GPA and the required course load.
  • Note: the official international-scholarships page does not list a living stipend, health insurance, laptop or meal card for these awards.

Eligibility

  • Open to international students of any nationality applying to a Bilkent undergraduate program.
  • Applicants who currently hold, or previously held, Turkish citizenship are not eligible for international-student scholarships.
  • Admission is based on high-school qualifications and accepted exams: SAT (minimum 1000/1600 combined Math + Critical Reading, plus minimum 500/800 in at least two subject tests relevant to the program), GCE / Cambridge International A-Levels (three subjects at grade C or above), International Baccalaureate (minimum diploma score 28/45), or a TÜBİTAK-recognized international science-olympiad medal.
  • Applications submitted with predicted grades, results or scores are not evaluated.
