BI Norwegian Business School awards this entrance scholarship to academically outstanding candidates joining eligible master’s programmes in Oslo or Bergen. It supports the recipient’s first master’s degree and excludes the BI–Luiss Joint Master’s in Marketing.
Norwegian and international candidates may apply, including eligible third-year Sivøk students. The 2026 award is tied to an Autumn 2026 start, and continued funding depends on academic progress and BI Ambassador duties.
Benefits & funding
- The scholarship covers full tuition fees each semester for up to two years, subject to academic progression requirements.
- International applicants who are not residents of Norway also receive NOK 50,000 per semester for living expenses.
- Recipients must complete 30 ECTS each semester, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least B on BI’s ECTS scale after each semester, and be prepared to serve as BI Ambassadors.
Eligibility
- Applicants must have a minimum overall GPA of A on the ECTS scale or an equivalent top-level grade.
- Applicants must be admitted to the first year of an eligible master’s programme at BI’s Oslo or Bergen campus beginning in Autumn 2026. The BI–Luiss Joint Master’s in Marketing is excluded.
- Only candidates seeking their first master’s degree are considered.
- Norwegian and international citizens may apply; residency changes the award package but is not an eligibility gate.
- Students in the third year of the Sivøk programme may also apply.

Application process
- 1Apply for admission to an eligible BI master’s programme through the online application portal.
- 2Combine a CV or resume and a scholarship application letter of no more than one page into one PDF, then upload it under the portal’s Scholarship section with all admission documents.
- 3Submit the complete admission and scholarship application by 1 March. Accept the admission offer when issued so the scholarship application can be considered.
- 4Third-year Sivøk students use the stated email exception, sending their CV and letter to info@bi.no with the subject BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
