Official Page

DiSCo Lazio administers this annual right-to-education call for students enrolled at universities and other eligible higher-education institutions legally based in Lazio. It combines a means-tested scholarship with meal services and, where requested and available, student accommodation.

The same call also covers support linked to international mobility and timely graduation. Applications for the 2026/2027 cycle are closed; the next cycle has not yet published an opening date.

Benefits & funding

  • Standard scholarship values are €2,290.16 for local students, €3,590.71 for commuters and €6,571.11 for students classified as living away from home.
  • Each standard scholarship category also includes two free meals per day, valued by DiSCo at €600 in total.
  • Applicants may request a DiSCo accommodation place through the same call; the scholarship amount and housing treatment depend on the applicant’s location classification and documentation.
  • Scholarship amounts may increase for specified categories or decrease according to ISEE band and study progression rules.
  • Benefits normally run for the academic year, but students in their first year beyond the normal course length receive 50% of the monetary award and free meal service for six months only, valued by DiSCo at €300.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be enrolled by the applicable regularisation date in an eligible bachelor’s, master’s, single-cycle master’s, doctorate or specialisation course at an institution legally based in Lazio.
  • Students enrolled at a telematic university, or on a course delivered more than 50% at a distance, can apply and are classified as local students whatever their own address.
  • Doctoral students receiving another doctoral scholarship, research allowance or equivalent institutional contribution are excluded; comparable funded medical specialisation routes are also excluded.
  • Scholarship applicants must meet the published income and merit rules; the 2026/2027 economic ceilings are ISEE or ISEEUP of €28,339.88 and ISPE or ISPEUP of €61,608.48.
  • There is no nationality or Lazio-residency bar, but international applicants and students living away from home must provide the economic, identity and housing evidence required for their route.
  • Benefits are normally available only for the first attainment of each study level, and prior qualifications or prior aid at the same level can affect eligibility.
