AYFN Academy, a Yogyakarta-based youth organization, runs a short cultural-immersion travel program in South Korea. Selected participants spend 6 days and 5 nights on guided cultural and educational activities, sightseeing, and local exchange. The program operates on a paid basis, with a competitive scholarship track that waives the program fee in full and contributes toward flights; recipients still cover their own visa, insurance, and personal costs. It is open to youth worldwide who are interested in travel, culture, and social/youth activities.

Benefits & funding

  • Two scholarship tiers, each with a 100% program-fee waiver:
  • Gold: fee waiver worth up to USD 900 + flight support up to USD 750.
  • Silver: fee waiver + flight support up to USD 250.
  • Included: 6 days / 5 nights shared accommodation; breakfast (×4) and lunch (×4); cultural and educational activities; scheduled sightseeing; local metro/bus transport; an e-certificate of participation; in-country coordination.
  • Not covered: visa fees, additional airfare beyond the support cap, travel insurance, and personal expenses.
  • The number of scholarships is limited (exact count not published).

Eligibility

  • Open to all nationalities.
  • Aged 17–40.
  • Interest in travel and culture; involvement in social and youth activities; demonstrated leadership potential.
  • In good physical and mental health; able to document activities.
  • No degree requirement stated.

Application process

    Purchase the required e-book, “The Scholarship Journey: Transforming Education into Lifelong Growth” (via PayPal or Xendit); the organizer states there is no separate application fee.

    Complete the online application form with a CV (Europass format), a 250-word motivation letter, and the e-book payment receipt — all documents in English.
