ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship — Bachelor's Scholarship

The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship supports high-achieving freshmen from ASEAN member countries other than Singapore. Recipients pursue a full-time undergraduate degree at the National University of Singapore in Singapore.

NUS considers eligible applicants automatically through their undergraduate admission application. The award is tenable for the normal candidature period, subject to semesterly renewal conditions.

Benefits & funding

100% of subsidised undergraduate tuition fees after the MOE Tuition Grant.
S$5,800 annual living allowance.
S$1,750 one-time computer allowance upon enrolment.
S$3,000 annual accommodation allowance.
Renewal each semester requires a GPA of at least 3.50 or equivalent and good conduct.
The scholarship itself has no bond, but recipients must accept the MOE Tuition Grant, which carries a three-year work obligation with a Singapore-registered company after graduation; Medicine and Dentistry recipients have separate service-bond terms.

Eligibility

Be a citizen of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste or Vietnam.
Have outstanding high-school results, strong leadership qualities and potential, and a good co-curricular record.
Apply for admission to a full-time NUS undergraduate degree programme as a freshman.
Transfer applicants from local or overseas universities are not eligible.
Programme coverage and transfer conditions have exclusions, including the concurrent NUS Bachelor of Science and University of Melbourne Doctor of Veterinary Medicine programme.
