Singapore’s Ministry of Education offers this annual scholarship for eligible students from nine ASEAN countries to study at selected secondary schools or junior colleges in Singapore. Depending on nationality and current school level, recipients enter Secondary 1, Secondary 3 or Pre-university 1.
Routes last two, four or six years and lead to the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level or a similar qualification. Renewal is assessed each year against school performance, and all 2026 application routes are now closed.

- Nationals of Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines or Vietnam.
- Applicants must meet the cycle-specific birth-date and current-school-level rules on their country page.
- Brunei and Malaysia offer Secondary 1, Secondary 3 and Pre-university 1 routes; Indonesia offers Secondary 1 and Secondary 3; Thailand offers Secondary 3 and Pre-university 1; Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam offer Secondary 3.
- Applicants must be proficient in English, have consistently strong school examination results and have a good co-curricular participation record. Some country routes impose additional grade or English-study conditions.
- No separate residency or work-experience requirement is stated.

Application process

- 2When the next cycle opens, submit the online application linked from that country page before its route-specific deadline.
- 3If shortlisted, follow MOE’s notice to attend the selection test.
- 4If shortlisted again, attend the selection interview; only shortlisted candidates are notified.
- 5Successful applicants receive the scholarship decision by email and complete the required acceptance formalities.
