The ASEAN-Pacific Youth Mental Health Fellowship is a six-month program run by Orygen Global for young people connected by birth or residence to specified ASEAN-Pacific countries and territories. It combines online education and mentoring with an in-person forum in an ASEAN country.
Fellows develop a youth mental health advocacy project plan tailored to their communities and contribute to collaborative advocacy. The program also connects participants with peers, experts and youth mental health leaders.

- Education and training workshops cover mental health, advocacy, sharing lived experience safely, project planning, implementation and sustainable change.
- Fellows receive monthly peer mentoring and expert mentoring.
- Each Fellow receives a small honorarium to help with costs associated with the program; Orygen does not publish the amount.
- Orygen Global fully funds attendance at a four-day in-person forum in an ASEAN country; participants must allow up to six days including travel.
- Graduates join an alumni network offering continued peer support, webinars and collaboration opportunities.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 18–30 years old when the 2026 Fellowship begins on 22 January 2026.
- An applicant’s country of birth OR country of residence must be Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Niue, Philippines, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, Palau, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tuvalu or Vietnam.
- Applications and all Fellowship participation are in English.
- Fellows need a computer with a camera and microphone, a reliable internet connection and capacity for a weekly 90–120-minute online session, about eight to 10 hours of activity per month and at least 80 per cent attendance.
- Orygen does not state a degree or work-experience requirement.
