AngelHack runs the Global Hackathon Series, in which developers, designers and founders form teams to build and pitch technology solutions, with workshops and mentor hours alongside.
The format changes by year: a seven-city circuit ending in a Singapore Grand Final in 2024, then a single hackseoul edition with Coupang in Seoul in November 2025, focused on AI. No 2026 edition has been announced.
Benefits & funding
- hackseoul 2025: KRW 10,000,000 in prizes for the top three teams (KRW 5,000,000, 3,000,000 and 2,000,000).
- Participants keep full intellectual property in their projects, with no duty to share, license or commercialise them.
- Terms vary by edition: the 2024 circuit advertised USD 180,000 in prizes and covered all expenses for its top 30 teams at the Singapore Grand Finals.
Eligibility
- Aged 18 or over (hackseoul 2025).
- Open to anyone with ideas or a drive to innovate; no nationality, residence, degree or experience requirement is stated.
- Every participant registers individually; you may come solo, but only teams of 1–4 members can submit projects.
- Korean is not mandatory, though some hackseoul keynotes were in Korean only.
- 2024 circuit only: reaching the Grand Finals required joining at least one in-person hackathon.
