The Chancellor’s Scholarship supports first-time students beginning an undergraduate degree at the American University of Sharjah in the fall semester. Applicants may be of any nationality, but they must have completed secondary education in the United Arab Emirates and must first receive an AUS admission offer.
The award is based heavily on academic excellence and evidence of achievement, leadership and community contribution. It is renewable while recipients continue to meet the scholarship requirements.

Eligibility
- Be a first-time student planning to enroll at AUS in the fall semester, have completed secondary education in the UAE and hold an AUS admission offer.
- Meet one English threshold: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 94 or EmSAT English Achieve 1725, submitted with the admission application.
- National Curriculum: Elite Diploma with 98 percent CGPA in Grades 10 and 11 plus two AP scores of 5.
- British qualifications: three A-levels with two As and one B, plus five GCSEs at grade A.
- IB Diploma: at least 38 points.
- American curriculum: 98 percent CGPA in Grades 10 and 11 plus either two AP scores of 5 or a 1200 SAT composite score.
- Australian QCE/ATAR: an ATAR of at least 96.
- Other systems: an equivalent 98 percent CGPA plus an SAT score of 1200.
- Submit the required predicted grades or test scores for the applicable curriculum route.
- Provide a portfolio containing the specified essay, evidence of leadership and community or scientific or literary contributions, honors, service and extracurricular activities, a three-minute video and two recommendation letters.
