The Anna Lindh Foundation runs this full-time programme for early-career graduates from the Euro-Mediterranean region. It provides professional experience in intercultural and civil-society dialogue while participants support one of four ALF fields.

Participants work at the ALF Secretariat in Alexandria, Egypt, in Civil Society, Public Policies, Corporate Communication, or Operations and Coordination. The 2026–2027 application form is closed, and the next opening date has not been announced.

Benefits & funding

  • Annual gross retribution of €12,000.
  • International participants moving from their home country to Alexandria receive a one-time €1,200 installation allowance.
  • After successful completion of the full fixed term, eligible international participants receive €1,200 in repatriation compensation.
  • ALF covers medical, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance.
  • The placement lasts up to 11 months at the ALF Secretariat.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be nationals of Albania, Algeria, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Libya, Luxembourg, Malta, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Syria, The Netherlands, Tunisia, or Türkiye.
  • Applicants must be under 30 on the estimated contract start date of 1 September 2026.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree relevant to the selected fields are required.
  • Applicants need at least C1 written and spoken English and a proven background in the selected fields; no minimum number of years is stated.
  • Applicants select two of the four fields in order of preference, while ALF may assign or rotate participants according to its needs.
  • No residence or gender restriction is stated.
