AIXI Labs runs this research fellowship for people pursuing AI safety through algorithmic information theory and AIXI-style models. Fellows complete a self-directed project spanning foundational theory or empirical work with LLM-based agents.

Eligibility

- Solid grounding in probability, statistics, information theory, and reinforcement learning. Prior AIXI or algorithmic information theory expertise is not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Genuine motivation to reduce existential risk from advanced AI and interest in the AIXI Labs research agenda.
