The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation (AIG) Scholarship, run with Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government, funds a public servant working in Nigeria to take the one-year, full-time Master of Public Policy (MPP) in Oxford.
Since 2017 the foundation has awarded 32 scholarships worth over £70,000 each. Scholars return to Nigeria’s public service after the degree. The foundation’s page still shows the 2024/2025 round as closed.
Benefits & funding
- Full MPP course fees (£54,650 for 2027–28 entry) plus a set amount for living expenses.
- A stipend for the summer project.
- Coaching and mentoring, career-development support and summer work placements.
- One year of study, ending with a placement at a policy-focused organisation.
Eligibility
- Ordinarily resident in Nigeria.
- Employed in the federal or state public service in Nigeria.
- Aged 25 to 45.
- At least seven years of work experience.
- A bachelor’s degree with at least a second-class upper (2:1).
- A clear commitment to continuing in public service in Nigeria.
- An offer of a place on the Oxford MPP, which also asks for proof of English proficiency.
