The inaugural Autumn 2026 Fellowship is a remote programme run by AI Societal Impact Lab. It supports emerging voices examining the socio-political implications of AI and aims to widen public discussion about AI’s effects on society.
Fellows join weekly calls, complete individual work, collaborate on a group project, and develop an analytical article for the Lab website. The programme runs for approximately 8–10 weeks from mid-to-late September 2026 and requires about four hours each week.

Eligibility
- The programme targets recent graduates in social sciences and humanities and early-career researchers.
- Applicants from STEM, arts, and other disciplinary backgrounds are also welcome.
- Prior experience studying AI is welcome but not required.
- The application form accepts Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD education, either obtained or in progress.
- The published eligibility information states no nationality, residency, age, gender, or minimum work-experience restriction.
- Applicants must be able to commit about four hours per week: one hour for a weekly call and three hours of individual work.
