The African Fashion FundLab Fellowship is run by the Oak Nation Entrepreneurial (ONE) Foundation, a Nigerian non-profit that supports micro and small businesses across Africa, in partnership with Obsidian Advisory Africa. It is aimed at fashion designers who already run a registered business and want to strengthen operations, tighten their finances, become investment-ready and scale.

The programme is delivered as a short, intensive residential-style workshop in Lagos, followed by a period of virtual mentorship. New cohorts are admitted on a recurring basis, with the first cohort scheduled to begin in September 2026.

  • Participation is fully sponsored — selected fellows pay no programme fee.
  • Interactive sessions and workshops on business strategy, funding readiness, accounting, legal foundations and fashion production.
  • A personalised funding roadmap to help the business become investment-ready.
  • Three months of virtual post-fellowship mentorship.
  • Certificate of completion.

Eligibility

  • Own a registered fashion business.
  • Have been in business for at least three years.
  • Able to attend the in-person sessions in Lagos in full.
