ACM SIGSPATIAL Travel Grants are one of two travel-award routes for the 34th ACM SIGSPATIAL conference on geographic information systems; the other is NSF-funded and limited to students at US institutions. One shared form covers both routes.
Recipients attend in person in Riverside, California, from November 3 to 6, 2026. The 2026 round closed on October 2; the 2025 round closed on October 1, 2025.
Benefits & funding
- Travel-related costs only; the page calls the funding limited and publishes no amount or award count.
- Recipients must register, attend the full conference and volunteer for four hours during conference week.
Eligibility
- Students (high school, undergraduate or graduate) or early-career researchers 0–3 years after graduation.
- Applicants may be based in any country.
- Non-US students or early-career researchers and first-time attendees get priority; this is a preference, not a bar.
- Student authors and early-career researchers with an accepted full research paper at the main conference also get priority.
