The 2026 Leadership Development Program is an eight-month professional program run by the American Chamber of Commerce in China. It brings together China-based professionals for monthly sessions on leadership, business strategy, government relations, and the US-China business community.
Sessions may be attended in person or online, and the 2026 kickoff took place at AmCham China’s Beijing office. The 2026 application window closed on March 16, and the cohort began on April 11.
Benefits & funding
- Participants join eight monthly three-hour sessions led by senior leaders and industry experts.
- The program includes peer exchange, networking activities, and exposure to the AmCham China community.
- Participants who attend at least six sessions receive a completion certificate at AmCham China’s Annual General Meeting in November 2026.
- The fee is RMB 6,000 for AmCham China members or employees of member companies and RMB 7,500 for non-members; participants may seek corporate sponsorship.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be aspiring leaders aged 26–40 who have lived in China for at least two years.
- The program is open to all nationalities and to professionals across companies, industries, and experience levels.

- Applicants should want to deepen their knowledge of US-China relations and community leadership.
- Participants may have no more than two excused absences and must attend at least six of eight sessions to graduate.
