The 2026 ICCI ART VALLEY PROGRAM is an in-person artist and scholar residency in Shanghai organized by the USC–SJTU Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with MANA as co-organizer. ICCI plans to select 5–6 international visiting artists or scholars for studio-based creation from November 1 through December 15, 2026.
The program centers on art and technology, cross-cultural dialogue, and urban engagement, with outcomes presented in Shanghai venues, online exhibition spaces, or the Shanghai Jiao Tong University History Museum. The 2026 application deadline has passed, and ICCI identifies ART VALLEY as an annual residency and exhibition.

Eligibility
- Open to artists and scholars from around the world; no nationality, residency, age, gender, or degree restriction is stated.
- Applicants must have teaching experience at a university or art institution, or experience organizing public lectures or academic seminars.
- Applicants must maintain an active artistic practice across artistic traditions or cultural contexts; interdisciplinary media, digital art, easel painting, and integrated-media practices receive priority.
- Applicants must be able to present fluently in English and communicate across cultures.
- Selected participants must deliver 1–2 public lectures, workshops, or similar events; donate two artworks selected from a list of at least five; join the organized program; and commit to the full residency with regular weekday studio presence.
